Long time no post!

So.. I was 17 two whole weeks ago. And I managed to not bother posting about it. Oops!
Better late than never :)

I took my three best friends to the ShowStudio: Fashion Revolution exhibition at Somerset House. It was awesome. It's not a very big exhibition, but we still spent over an hour in it.

The first exhibit is a giant sculpture of Naomi Campbell. There's a touchpad on either end of the room and you can draw with them, and your drawing is projected onto the sculpture.

Although ShowStudio is primarily about fashion projects of a digital format, there were real garments on show and they were all fantastic. This one's quite inspiring, I think..

Anyway, I'd totally recommend it and the tickets weren't a rip off either.

Before we went home we also went to chinatown for lunch ( where my bestie bought me an adorable cake. The one above was at the same shop, although mine did Not have a monkey on it. :P ), played a few games at the Trocaderos and sampled the Obamarama ice cream at The Icecreamists! I've got to admit, although the icecream was nice, you could probably find much better at a good italian gelateria.
I hope I get a chance to go to Chinatown again soon, cus I didn't actually order bubble tea. I thought it was going to be bubble tea, but it was basically a milkshake! It still had tapioca pearls but I want a milk tea next time!

With my birthday money I got a pair of skinny black jeans at Primark, which I had to exchange for a bigger size! Primark sizes are so unpredictable. I also got a dress and skirt. Pictures to come, they were good finds.

Soo sorry for neglecting you, Blog. xx

Lots of pictures this time

I bought a smart grey skirt in the Next sale in the summer to wear to sixth form. It had these ugly buttons..
...and was slightly too long for my liking.
So it was obviously time for a bit of revamping!

I bought some buttons from a knitting/haberdashery stall, which I managed to lose, but then I bought these beauties instead so I'm not too fussed!

I ripped the old ugly buttons off, stitched these on then chopped the seam allowance off of the hem and sewed a new hem. To be honest, they'd done a really bad job of sewing the hem securely so I probably would've had to redo it even if I wasn't taking it up.
The outfit isn't what I actually wore in the end. I wore a black top with a white, victorian style cotton bib and black buttons along it. That's my new cardigan, by the way :D

In other news.. my favourite handbag's straps (well, strictly speaking, the bits that hold the D ring down which in turn holds the strap >_> ) snapped! It's my old handbag so I was using it for school. I'm going to use my new handbag tomorrow and then get a new school bag on the weekend!

And lastly, here's my current nail colour. It's 1 coat of black, 2 coats of a very dark berry red, and 1 clear coat on top. I think it looks like super dark chocolate :)

New things

I've been very tired these past few days so sorry if I sound it in this post.

I've decided to enroll at my secondary school's sixth form, cus I didn't get a place in Biology class at the one I intended to go to. I'm happy about it, though. I'll get to see my friends far more often and I won't have to learn my way round (which I tend to find a bit stressful >_<).

This all means that I don't need the 2 blazers I bought for the other place! So I've kept the nicer of the two, returned the other and bought a much needed new jacket.

New Look, £30
Sorry about the stock photo, as I said, tired. And lazy. :P

I also bought a foaming cleanser buy Simple. I've been nicking my mum's Clinique facial soap quite often so I needed my own. I use their daily moisturiser and use (read: own) their toner soo hopefully it's good.

Longer more interesting posts to come, I hope!

*Drumroll please**....

4 A*s, 7 As (3 are Merits in CiDA), 1 B

Edit: Oh, and in the end I wore the vest dress, blue belt, turquoise tights, grey cardi and black brogue heels. This is the best picture I have of it. You can't see the snazzy shoes unfortunately!
